I want my clients to look at me as part of their team and not merely as an outside expert. In order to encourage that sort of relationship I think it is important that my clients feel free to call me at anytime with any question, concern or merely to ask for a status update. I don't want my clients not to call me because they are afraid of receiving a $50.00 bill for a simple telephone call. Therefore, unlike many lawyers I don't charge for every telephone call or email. If you call or email me with a simple question, to ask if I heard from the other side or filed something with the court that only takes me a few minutes those are the sorts of things that I do not charge for. My first concern is that the lines of communication between you and me remain open.
